Step 1 — Export from Mozilla Firefox

Open Firefox and go to about:logins.
Select the ••• menu at the top right of the Passwords panel.
Choose "Export Logins…" and confirm with your OS password.
Save logins.csv.

Watch out for

Firefox has no concept of a title, folder, note or TOTP secret. Entries are identified by URL alone, so an entry name has nowhere to go.
Firefox writes its header names in quotes ("url","username",…). Some importers choke on that; the converter normalizes it.

Step 2 — Convert it

Step 3 — Import into KeePassXC

In KeePassXC choose Database → Import → CSV file.
Select the converted file.
Confirm the column mapping in the preview — KeePassXC lets you assign each column by hand.
Set a master password for the new database.

Watch out for

KeePassXC CSV export writes attachments and entry history nowhere — if you need those, keep the .kdbx file as your archive.
Group paths use a forward slash and include the database root, e.g. Passwords/Work. Strip or keep the root depending on where you want entries to land.

Step 4 — Verify and clean up

Open ten entries in KeePassXC at random and check them against Mozilla Firefox.
Sign in to one real site using KeePassXC to confirm autofill works.
Delete both CSV files and empty your trash. If your Downloads folder syncs to iCloud, OneDrive or Dropbox, confirm the deletion propagated there too.
Only then close your Mozilla Firefox account — and change any password you suspect was exposed while the plaintext file existed.

Questions

Why won't KeePassXC import my Mozilla Firefox file directly?

Not one column name matches between the two formats ("url", "username", "password"… versus Group, Title, Username…), which is why a direct import fails. The converter rewrites the file into KeePassXC's exact expected layout, including the column order and any empty columns its importer requires.

Do my passwords get uploaded anywhere?

KeePassXC supports every field Mozilla Firefox exports, so a standard login entry survives intact — name, username, password, URL, notes, folder and 2FA secret. File attachments are the exception: no CSV export from any manager includes them, so download those separately before you close your Mozilla Firefox account.
